Ready Set is a largely volunteer-based organisation and is proud of the support it receives from its 70+ volunteers who deliver our styling/clothing and coaching services along with supporting our administration and marketing functions.
Our volunteers come from different walks of life, bringing cultural and professional diversity and a range of skill sets. Importantly, they are aligned in their purpose, compassion and generosity of spirit through their support of Ready Set and the many individuals who come to us for assistance.

Chief Executive Officer
Amanda Connors
Amanda Connors joined Ready Set as Chief Executive Officer in July 2026. Amanda is a senior executive leader with over two decades of experience driving transformation, growth and community impact across retail, wellness, financial services and purpose-led organisations
Amanda is an accomplished senior executive leader known for driving large-scale brand and business transformation. She played a key role in transforming Priceline into a leading health and beauty brand, including the creation of the Priceline Sister Club and The Priceline Sisterhood charity. Her career also includes senior leadership roles with endota, Total Beauty Network, Westpac and Myer, where she has built high-performing teams and led complex organisational change.
With a background in marketing leadership, Amanda brings a strategic and commercially focused approach, alongside a strong commitment to purpose-led impact. She is passionate about the power of confidence to create opportunity and has consistently championed initiatives that build self-belief, connection and access, enabling individuals to step forward and realise their goals.

Operations Manager
Ian Herd
Ian joined Ready Set initially as a volunteer and then moved into an operational support role as a member of staff. He has led Ready Set’s operations since early 2023 and is responsible for maintaining our CRM, managing client bookings, and coordinating our finance processes.
Ian is a committed and highly respected member of the team who is always ready to step in to improve and support everything that happens at Ready Set!
Careers and Coaching Projects Manager
Lee McCarthy
Lee started initially as a volunteer before being appointed to coordinate our career coaching service. Lee has overseen the growth of this important service with the development and implementation of our online Career Hub in 2022-23 which she led. She also oversees our volunteer recruitment and induction process and is always on the look-out for new talent and ways to improve the volunteer experience.
Lee’s creative and strategic thinking is a real asset to the team.
Partnerships Manager
Jane Stewart
Jane joined Ready Set in early 2023 taking over the role of Partnerships Manager and to set up our first place-based service in Werribee, including the recruitment and training of volunteers drawn from the local community. Jane works actively with the existing and prospective network of referral agencies ensuring Ready Set reaches anyone who needs our services.
Jane’s energy and positive mindset is an absolute asset to an already great team.
