Ready Set relies on clothing donations, financial, in-kind support and volunteers to keep our free service going.
Financial and in-kind support
Ready Set is grateful for financial and in-kind support from corporate and business donors, trusts and philanthropic organisations and individuals. If you would like to know how you can support us or if you would like to fundraise for us, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on (03) 9078 1750
If you would like to make a financial donation now, please donate here.
Thank you for supporting the work of Ready Set. We provide clients with work-appropriate clothing and coaching to assist them gain and retain employment.
It’s important that pre-loved clothes are recycled to meet the needs of others but, due to warehouse constraints, we do have some criteria in what we are able to accept.
Work attire has become more casual due to the increase in working from home so, at this stage, we do not accept suits or ties as we have corporate retail supporters who provide us with new suits and basic workwear items.
All clothes need to be clean and unmarked.
Our criteria for clothing donations are:
jackets, pants, shirts, particularly larger sizes
good leather belts and as-new shoes
co-ordinates, dresses, jackets
handbags and shoes, unmarked and in as-new condition
If you have any internationally branded clothing, we would be most grateful to receive them to use in our seasonal fundraising sales.
If your items don’t meet our criteria, please consider donating them to your local Op Shop. Alternatively, Recycle for Rags for worn or dirty items will save them from landfill.
Many thanks for thinking of Ready Set and we are open for clothing donations on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Our volunteers are a passionate and committed group of people who come from many walks of life, bringing with them a diverse and interesting set of skills. We invite you to become a member of the Ready Set team.
